Woke up to the downing ship.
Depart dearly or face the flood coming in.
And it won’t be long until i’m dead and gone with good time spent wasted, worried, sick.

And now I know I am getting further away.
Less hopeless than homesick.
While the world just spins in circles, while everything just spins in circles.

Blue in to gray, and I can’t put up a fight.
While out on the ocean, red skies mar another peaceful night.
(Woken up and drowning now. Calendars are taken down.
Hard to wake, so hard to wait, hard to keep from counting days.)

Woke to the falling sun.
Drift behind the monuments once the day is done.
And it won’t be long until i’m dead and gone.
I’m hoping but the answers will not come. I belong here, but I won’t be here for long.
